Set up your V6
The full setup video is being filmed right now and will be posted here within a day or two. Until then, here's everything you need to get started.
The basic setup: 3 steps
- Slide an alignment stick through the long edge of the V6, the hole that runs all the way through. That line points at your target.
- Slide a second alignment stick through the short side, in one of the holes between the numbers.
- Push the PVC, foam noodle on, into one of the angled slots. Start at 65 with a wedge. The chart on the back of your card has the rest.
Which angle for which club
70° and 65° for wedges. 60° and 55° for irons. 50° and 45° for woods. There's some overlap, so a 9 iron can work off 65° if you're swinging under it. Not sure? Start at 65° with a wedge.
The one rule
Foam noodle on the PVC for full swings. Never a bare alignment stick. An alignment stick angled in the V6 is only for slow-motion and dry drills.
Your first session
- Grab a wedge and start small, slow and at half speed. No ball yet.
- Take more practice swings than you hit balls.
- Slice it? Swing under the foam noodle. Hook it? Swing over it.
